I refuse to date someone who cares more about his family than me. I’m not sure if this seems harsh or not, but given the circumstances of Chris’ family, it’s understandable. I took care of him when he was homesless, carless, phoneless, jobless, and friendless. I helped him get around to look for a job, helped him file his taxes and took him to the courthouse to pay off his tickets, helped him get a phone, get his car, and was with him the entire time he was in the hospital. After all this, his family still wants to shit talk me and say I’m nothing because I’m just the girlfriend and they’re family. You know what? You’re pieces of shit. Where were you when Chris needed food? Where were you when he needed rides to the courthouse? Where were you guys when he was trying to sleep on a couch so he could get driven to work by me the next morning? Oh yeah, you were drinking.
I don’t like my own family because I didn’t choose to be around those people on a daily basis, and I’m only around my mom now. But, the boyfriends I have I choose to care about. I do a lot for the guys I date. And I’ll be dammed if I’m put second to such trash.
